Notification Frequency

Blindata offers flexible options for managing how frequently you receive notifications, ensuring you stay informed without being overwhelmed. Notifications are delivered via email, and you can choose between the following settings:

• Immediate Notifications: Receive alerts in real-time as events occur, keeping you instantly updated on critical changes or activities within your Blindata environment. This setting is ideal for those who need to stay on top of developments as they happen.

• Daily Summaries: Get a consolidated summary of all notifications at the end of each day. This option allows you to review the day’s events at your convenience, providing a comprehensive overview without the interruption of real-time alerts.

By selecting the notification frequency that best suits your workflow, you can maintain control over your information intake and ensure that you receive updates in the way that works best for you. By default, both immediate notifications and daily summaries are activated.

Types of Notifications

You can customize the notifications you receive, including updates on events, changes, and activities within Blindata. By personalizing these settings, you can ensure that you only receive notifications that are relevant to your role and interests.

To tailor your notifications, select the specific resource types you want to be notified about. For example, if you only want to receive notifications about issues, you can target the “Issue” resource type to receive immediate email notifications whenever an issue assigned to you is updated.

Watching Resources

You can watch resources over Blindata objects to receive notifications. This means you can select specific objects or types of resources that you want to monitor. By doing so, you will be notified about any updates or changes related to these watched resources.

How to Set Up Notifications

1. Access Notification Settings: Go to the settings section of your Blindata account and navigate to the notification settings.

2. Select Notification Types: Choose the types of notifications you want to receive by checking the appropriate boxes. By default both Daily Summaries and Immediate Notifications are enabled.

3. Set Notification Frequency: Decide whether you want immediate notifications or daily summaries and select the corresponding option. If you disable immediate notifications, you can still enable them for specific resource types, such as issues assigned to you or quality checks you are watching.

4. Watch Resources: Identify and select the resources or objects you want to watch to receive notifications about them. You can use the eye button on each resource page to watch a resource. Notifications on issues opened in Blindata are automatically delivered to assignees and reporters by default.
