This month’s changelog introduces significant updates to Blindata’s ontology management tools, including direct access to the graphical editor from concept lists and namespace visibility enhancements. We’ve also improved programmatic access to APIs and expanded authentication capabilities with Entra ID. Check out the full list of updates below!
New Features:
-
Graphical Ontology Editor Improvements:
- The ontology graphical editor is now directly accessible from the concept list for a specific namespace. This is a quick shortcut button that takes you directly to the ontology graph editor, displaying only the concepts within the selected namespace for focused and efficient editing.
- Nodes in the ontology editor display their namespace of ownership, improving clarity and usability.
-
API Access Improvements: User management has been enhanced to enable the assignment of programmatic access to Blindata APIs directly to individual users. The documentation on user management has been updated to reflect this new configuration: how to create an application user for programmatic access.
Other Key Updates:
- Extended Entra ID Integration:
- Blindata Agents now support Entra ID service principals for daemon app authentication.
- Blindata Observer for the ODM platform also supports Entra ID service principals for daemon app authentication.
- Validation Endpoint for ODM Observer: The Observer for ODM now includes a validator endpoint to pre-check if a Data Product Descriptor can be loaded on Blindata. This feature can be utilized as a policy during the registration phase.
Versions:
- blindata-api: v1.142.1
