We’re introducing a streamlined experience for building and administering data products in Blindata. The Data Product Builder is now the single place to define your descriptor, manage releases with Git, and jump straight into DevOps—so you can own the full lifecycle from definition to deployment. Here’s what’s new.
New Features
-
GUI descriptor editor: Edit the data product descriptor (DPDS) directly in Blindata with a structured editor. Define general info, ports and schemas, and lifecycle (DevOps) configuration without touching raw YAML. Changes are committed to your linked Git repository, so version control and governance stay in sync. Policy validation is available before you save. Edit a Data Product Descriptor

-
Git-integrated release management: Create and publish release versions from the Builder. Tag a version in Git, generate changelogs from commit history, and publish after policy validation. The Builder shows the release card, all versions with changelogs, and the connected repo (branch, tags, latest commit). Every release is traceable and immutable. Publish a Data Product Release Version

-
Quick access to the DevOps module: From the Builder you see DevOps stages and the version deployed in each environment. Plan and run activities for a published version with one click into the DevOps module. You can also configure lifecycle activities and tasks in the descriptor editor (DevOps section), then manage execution from the same entry point. Data Product DevOps Management

The Builder is the operational hub for each data product: open it from the Data Product Catalog by selecting a product and switching to the Builder view.
