How to Manage Forecasting
Forecast generation in Blindata occurs under specific conditions to ensure accurate and timely predictions. Firstly, when a new record is uploaded and immediate future forecasts are not available, the system initiates the generation of predictions. Additionally, when an anomaly is detected, a model refresh is triggered, updating the forecasts to adapt to the evolving data patterns.
The size of the blue area is related to the size of the forecast length. The forecast length is configurable within the model settings and can be either static or dynamic. In the static case, a fixed value is employed to generate forecasts for the future, while in the dynamic case, the series’ shape is analyzed to determine the optimal forecasting length.
Users can manually refresh forecasts by clicking the dedicated button located in the top right corner of the card under the “Forecast” tab on the profiling metric detail page. It’s important to note that the refresh process may take some time, and pressing the button multiple times does not expedite the process.
