Automated Metadata Crawling
Note
To use this feature it is necessary to define an agent within Blindata and connect it to the source system as discussed in the Blindata Agent User Guide .
Blindata offers users the ability to define automated metadata extraction jobs through its crawling module. This option is available under the crawling tab on the system detail page.
The job details display general information such as name, type, cron expression, timezone, connection to the target system, connection to Blindata, and the option to hide imported physical entities.
The page also displays the job execution history, indicating the start time, job name, user identifier who initiated the execution, and the progress status. The “Modify” and “Delete” buttons allow for editing and deletion of the job. The “Run” button initiates immediate execution of the job.
For more information, please refer to Blindata Agent Connectors User Guide , which is a dedicated set of tutorials for defining and maintaining metadata harvesting jobs.
